Donated Computer from Catbytes CIC

We're delighted to share that Catbytes CIC donated computers to Empowr CIC as part of their programme to support nonprofit community organisations.

Empowr was selected based on strong recommendations from community members who recognised our mission and our presence in Southeast London. It's a reminder of what happens when organisations look out for one another.

What This Means for Our Community

In partnership with the Barnes Wallis Community Centre in Newcross, the donated equipment has been used to establish a community ICT room — giving local residents access to internet and computer resources that weren't previously available to them.

Alongside the ICT room, we've launched a coding club for children in the community, designed to equip young people with essential, future-ready digital skills.

The first session launched on Monday 1st August 2022 and continues to run every Monday.

We're grateful to Catbytes CIC for their generosity and to everyone in the community who pointed them our way. This is exactly the kind of network effect we're trying to build.
