Our First Partnership in Schools and Organisations

We're proud to announce Empowr CIC's first formal partnership with a school: Ivydale Primary School in Southeast London.

Through this collaboration, we're delivering after-school skating sessions for students — bringing the same community-first, experiential approach we use in all of our programmes directly into a school setting.

Why This Matters

Getting children moving, learning new skills, and experiencing the joy of physical activity early in life has a lasting impact on their wellbeing. Skating in particular builds balance, coordination, persistence, and confidence — qualities that go far beyond the rink.

By introducing skating as an after-school activity, we hope to encourage children to explore new skills, stay active, and find a community they can grow with.

This partnership is also a proof of concept for Empowr's broader ambitions: to work with schools and organisations across Southeast London to deliver wellbeing programmes where young people already are, rather than expecting them to come to us.
